Bilingualism Spanish - English:The acquisition of a language is a difficult task, for this reason the sooner the second language is stimulated, the easier it will be to master.
Naturally they are very small, and during these first years they hardly speak, but it has been demonstrated that the brain of a baby is perfectly capable of assimilating two languages at the same time. In Novainfancia we have an educator specialised in the teaching English language to children from 12 months to 3 years of age. Making it easier for them to come into contact with English in a “natural” way.
Early attention:Babies are born with disconnected neurons and it is the stimuli it receives from its surrounding which determine the connections in their brains and the development of a good nervous system. Early attentionwill favour the cognitive, affective and social development of your child. Supported by the centre’s Psycopedagogue and by the excellent didactic materials we have at our disposal, we favour conditions in which to achieve a good use of the child’s capabilities .
Educating values:We are convinced that values help to increase and make it possible to develop, all the qualities of a human being. In Novainfancia we promote self-esteem, cooperation, responsibility and tolerance. -Individualised teaching: Our objective is to adjust our intervention, at an educational level, to the students’ individuality, this way our little ones develop harmonically
Infant Massage (0-24 months): In Novainfancia we premise that. ““Babies aren’t only nurtured by food, they need principally love and affection, which proportions them emotional security and an emotional comfort allowing them to grow more harmoniously” .
Musictherapy:Music helps babies and preschool students to develop a unique and extraordinary potential, providing very beneficial effects in the cerebral development of the children. In Novainfancia we use it to help the child to sleep, to stimulate, to relax and to concentrate during the whole school day.
TIC (Information and communication techniques):They are present in the lives of all children from birth, both in a family and in a social context; for this reason we hold the idea that “all that is done and all work that is done with the children has to be close to the reality they live in”. All of the classrooms have computers and Internet access, giving them the necessary tools to work with the information.
It has been demonstrated that it:
a. Promotes the development of the smallest ones.
b. Increases learning capacity in infancy
.
c. Encourages attention and fine motor ability
.
d. Will be crucial in the future of infant education in Europe
.
School garden: THE EARTH IS OUR HOME. We have a yearly programme with monthly visits to our own garden so that our students can observe, learn and explore with direct contact with nature. We want to educate them to understand nature and environmental activism; and by this means create a conscientious respect and care for our environment
